Biography / Obituary / Life Story

Phoenix, AZ - Paula Reeves Roberts passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021 at her home surrounded by her wife, three children, and future daughter-in-law. She was born December 31, 1959 in Roswell, GA, and lived in Georgia most of her life until moving to Phoenix in 2000. Paula worked her entire professional career in community blood banking. Her passion for recruiting volunteer blood donors, inspiring blood drive coordinators at workplaces and community organizations, and leading scores of donor recruitment professionals helped to save the lives of countless patients. In 2011, she was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the Association of Donor Recruitment Professionals.

Paula was a talented pianist and wonderful singer. She had a deep love of music, which she passed down to her children. She is survived by her wife, Linda Matthews, and her three children, P. Nicholas Roberts, Ansley Roberts and Mason Roberts (fiancé Sarah Seymour). Paula is also survived by her two brothers, Kile Reeves and David Reeves (Melinda), as well her nephews, Brad Reeves and Clay Reeves, and a great niece, Annabelle Reeves. A service to celebrate her life will be held online February 27, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mary’s Food Bank, Phoenix.
