Celebrating the Life of
Roger Dale Gillespie, Jr.
January 24, 1979 - December 25, 2020
Biography
Roger Dale Gillespie, Jr. was born on January 24, 1979, in Richmond, VA to the union of Roger Gillespie, Sr. and Pamela Bailey Gillespie. On Christmas morning, December 25, 2020, he gained his wings and was welcomed into his heavenly home.
Roger was a native of Goochland County and attended Goochland County Public Schools. He was united in holy matrimony to Audrey Anderson Gillespie in July 2010. This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Roger was a loving son, husband, and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He adored his daughters and held a very special bond with them. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and mastering his grilling skills. He had a passion for tinkering with electronics and a love of classic cars and attending car shows.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Audrey; two beautiful daughters, Alanna and Alaya; parents, Roger and Pamela Gillespie; mother-in-law, Sheila Kinney; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Anderson, Jr (Marie) and Richard Anderson; one sister-in-law, Abby Anderson; aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy
rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
