Larry (Andy) Donald Anderson

Retired United States Air Force MSGT August 17, 1971- March 01, 1992

On January 6, 2021, the Angels decided to take Larry Anderson our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend away.

Larry was born in Florence, Mississippi and graduated from Florence High School. Florence High is also where he met and married his devoted wife of 48 years Sandra Johnson. He joined the Air Force in 1971 and retired after 20 years of service. After retirement from the military, Larry went on to work and retire from The Bureau of Engraving and Printing also after 20 years of service. After complete retirement, Larry (Andy) enjoyed relaxing, watching sports, and spending time with his friends playing Dominos and Cards. He also was the best grandfather who loved seeing and spoiling his three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Iro Bell and Jacob Anderson, brother-in-law Harold Johnson, and niece Karen Johnson.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 48 years Sandra Anderson, his two daughters Katrina Howard (William Jr.) and Bridgett Anderson (David), three grandchildren SRA William Howard III(Trey), Brianna Howard, Jaden Howard, and grand dog Diesel. Five sisters- Myrdlean Johnson (the late Harold Johnson), Pearline Anderson, Shirley Taylor (Randolf), Carolyn Anderson, and Lorraine Anderson. Brother figure Howard Chapman. Sister-in-law Lawanda Enochs (James), brother-in-laws Frankie Bryant and Tony Bryant, special cousins who were like brothers, Howard Thurman, and Bud (John Robert Thurman), a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, god sons, god daughters, and close friends that were like family.
